In Loving Memory
On Friday, December 26, 2025, Dolores Aquin rendered her soul to the Lord at the age of 88 years, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer. Dolores was a member of Les Missionnaires Oblates de St. Boniface 1956-1973 Principal of Ecole Centrale; Transcona-Springfield School Division, Manitoba 1968-1992. She retired in 1992. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving three sisters, Irene (Stan) Fisette of Niverville, MB, Rolande Turgeon and Pauline MacRae of Edmonton, AB and one brother Ronald (Joyce) Aquin of St. Francois, MB. She will also be missed by sister-in-law Denise Aquin of Calgary and brother-in-law Louis Perrin of Cochrane, AB; 45 nieces and nephews too numerous to list herein, along with relatives and close friends. She was predeceased by both her parents, Avila and Jeanne Aquin; three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Laurent, Arcel (Helen), Leo (Philomene) and four sisters and five brothers-in-law, Jeanette (Fernand Allard), Roma (Rene Dupuis), Priscille (Aime Bourgeois), Lorraine Perrin, (Gerald Turgeon and Jack MacRae). She was also predeceased by two nephews, Robert Allard and Guy Aquin. The family would like to extend their gratitude to a special niece, Ginette (Aquin) Gable for her dedication and compassion during Dolores’ illness. Your care was such a comfort to us that it made this difficult time much easier to bear. We would also like to extend our gratitude to the dedicated staff at St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital Rosewood Unit, for their care and compassion during the six years Dolores was with them. God Bless you all! A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 210 Haddow Close NW, Edmonton. Mes sincères condoléances à votre famille dont je connais plusieurs membres. J'ai travaillé bien des années avec Dolorès qui m'a toujours bien soutenue.
